A semi-gloss finish is one of three shine level finishes that we offer - minimal which is a more industrial/rustic natural finish, semi-gloss and high-gloss, which is the most reflective. When deciding what gloss level you prefer, it comes down to cost and maintenance.
A matte finish is a low-to-nil stone exposure finish, that is typically used in homes, cafes, shops, and other commercial flooring. Semi-gloss finishes have great shine, and are easier to look after than high-gloss finishes, whereas high-gloss is used when the wow factor is desired.
If you have selected a grind and seal method of polished concrete, there is little variation in cost between the matte, semi-gloss and high-gloss finishes, whereas mechanically polished concrete will incur increased costs between the three finishes, due to the extra labour required to buff and polish the floor numerous times.
