What Is Honed Concrete?
Honed concrete involves mechanically grinding concrete to a smooth, flat finish before applying penetrating sealers. It creates a refined, matte to low-sheen surface, and suits homes, showrooms and retail, workshops, studios and offices.
Grinding
Using specialised tools, the concrete surface is ground to the desired level of exposure. This process involves carefully adjusting the grinding equipment to achieve the perfect finish, ensuring that the aggregate within the concrete is revealed just enough to enhance its aesthetic appeal while maintaining structural integrity.
